I've got to admit that I'm not exactly engaged with the questing. I'd basically won the fight but dodge rolled off the bridge because the camera was facing inwardsso I didn't see the gap in the wall :| Through the Arges Bazaar and well into the Academy, fighting to get the Iris. But it's still frustrating.Ĭarried on, up to about 8 hours played now. Hilda is a blunt instrument, and so the game forces you to have her make decisions that way. That said, I do kinda get the logic Hilda is very clearly a young, naiive outsider who is accustomed to being able to solve problems by hitting them with pointy sticks and has no functional understanding of the local sociopolitical situation even if you try to get Minerva to explain stuff to you, she just refuses. You're forced to fall for Quintus' schemes and shank Baraad, regardless of how cautious you want to be. bleh.īut yeah, after the first time I killed Baraad and went back to the hideout and got chewed out for it, I restarted and replayed that area, being as thorough in my exploration as I could, checking every corner and every cranny looking for an alternate route, and detouring back to the hideout to check in with Minerva after every fight or cutscene that seemed to update the story. It's frustrating, because as a player getting But Thou Musted into doing something that other people are signposting is a bad idea is. So, this stretch of the game is absolutely scripted.
